KUWAIT, 23rd July, 2017 (WAM) -- The European Union Foreign Policy Chief, Federica Mogherini, will arrive in Kuwait Sunday to express the EU's support of mediation efforts made by the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in finding a solution to the Gulf crisis.
According to the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, Mogherini is scheduled to meet with senior government officials in this regard.
"Kuwait is the mediator that we support and accompany and with whom we are constantly in touch," she told a press conference last week.
Kuwait's mediation efforts emerged as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt had cut their ties with Qatar, added KUNA.
