Qatar- FM briefs Gulf developments in China visit

Beijing: Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met yesterday in Beijing with Foreign Minister of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and means of boosting and developing them, in addition to issues of mutual interest.
The foreign minister briefed his Chinese counterpart on the latest developments of the current Gulf crisis and the illegal measures taken against the State of Qatar. The foreign minister extended his thanks to his Chinese counterpart for the attention his country has paid to the Gulf crisis and its stance that calls for dialogue, respect for international law and support for Kuwaiti mediation.
In addition, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani expressed satisfaction over the path and development of bilateral relations, particularly after the signing of the strategic partnership agreement in November 2014, with the foreign minister stressing Qatar's commitment to partnership with China and developing and activating that partnership. The two sides also expressed their aspiration to sign a memorandum of understanding soon between Qatar Tourism Authority and the National Tourism Administration of the People's Republic of China to facilitate the trips of group Chinese tourists to the State of Qatar.
