Computer operatorcommits suicide
A 29-year-old computer operator working at the late chief minister Jayaram Jayalalithaa's Kodanad estate committed suicide by hanging at his house in the nearby Kotagiri hill resort.
Police have ruled out a suspicion that Dinesh's death was linked to the deaths of four employees of Kodanad estate earlier this year. The police said his suicide note stated he had ended his life due to failing eyesight and his girlfriend's refusal to marry him. Police added that Dinesh was just a data entry operator with no access to important files in Jayalalithaa's estate.
Meanwhile investigations continue into the death of a security guard and Jayalalithaa's former car driver in April. The two died the same week. While the guard died in an armed attack at the estate the driver was killed in a road accident. Another car driver at the estate too lost his wife and daughter in a road accident near Kerala and is under judicial custody. Their links to Jayalalithaa's property documents stored in Kodanad are under the police scanner.
