Unexploded bombs found in Kuwait's housing project

(MENAFN) Unexploded bombs from the 1991 Gulf War have been found at a housing project site on Kuwait's Highway 80, which links the city to the Iraqi border.

Furthermore, the "Highway of Death" got its name when U.S.-led coalition aircraft exploded a convoy of fleeing Iraqi forces, murdering hundreds.

Additionally, these bombs were uncovered by the building crew working on the USD950mn residential project.

"Finding explosives on the site is not surprising and more could be there," quoted the state-run Kuwait News Agency officials.
