(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Embassy of India in Muscat organised the third International Day of Yoga with support of yoga organisations based in Oman on Wednesday. The event was held at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
Every year, June 21 is celebrated as International Day of Yoga all over the world. On December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly had approved Resolution 69/131, declaring June 21, as 'International Day of Yoga'.
The resolution was co-sponsored by 177 countries including the Sultanate of Oman. Since then theInternational Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually by member countries of the UN.
