Qatar University College of Engineering (QU-CENG) honoured its academically distinguished students named on the Dean's List in two ceremonies held on June 14-15.
As many as 603 students, who obtained a high GPA of 3.5 and above, received certificates from Dean Dr Khalifa Al Khalifa for their academic performance during Fall and Spring 2016.
Also present at the event were, CENG associate deans for Academic Affairs Prof Abdelmagid Hammuda, for Development and Industrial Relations Dr Saud Ghani and for Research and Graduate Studies Prof Abbes Amira, CENG Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Eng Al Jazzi Fetais, and CENG students and their families, as well as representatives of industrial partners and stakeholders.
The event honoured the top three winning teams in the Senior Design Contest June 2017.
Dr Khalifa Al Khalifa said: 'It is of my honour today to celebrate our distinguished students. This acknowledgment highlights your academic quality and excellence as well as the qualities you have exhibited to be valued members of the engineering profession in Qatar. CENG continues in its efforts to become one of the top colleges in the region recognised for its outstanding education, research and community engagement, and for the quality of its graduates.
