Kuwait- Bangladeshi taxi driver robbed in Salmiya


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, June 21: Two passengers in a roaming taxi stole the driver's wallet at knife point and escaped in Salmiya area, says Al-Seyassah. The Bangladeshi taxi driver went to Salmiya police station and lodged a complaint against the two suspects. He narrated the men waived him down and requested to go to Salmiya area.

On the way, one of them threatened him at knife point while the other stole the wallet from his pocket and escaped. He provided their description to the officers and case was registered.

Meanwhile, officers from Farwaniya Security Directorate arrested an Asian expatriate who stole three gas cylinders and aluminum ware from a house and tried in vain to flee from them. Apparently, the Asian abandoned the items and took to his heels upon sighting the officers but they chased and arrested him. He was referred with the stolen items to concerned authorities
