Qatar Charity wins dozens of GCC international awards

Over the past ten years, Qatar Charity has received a large number of awards, certificates of honour and points of excellence at the international, regional, GCC and Arab levels in recognition of its professional performance in the fields of humanitarian and development work and its excellence in the field of programmes and projects it carries out, the services it provides and the initiatives it launches.
A report issued by Qatar Charity yesterday reviews the most important of these awards at the Gulf, Arab or international levels, including the winning of the first place in the world in the relief of the Syrian, Palestinian and Somali people at the level of humanitarian non-governmental organizations in 2013, 2014 and 2015, according to the Financial Tracking Service (FTS) managed by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Qatar Charity received eight awards in 2016 at the GCC and Arab level as it won the first prize for the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) for pioneering development projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its project in Sudan on "Promoting Voluntary Return and Peace Building in Darfur".
In addition, Qatar Charity received five awards from the Bahrain Technical Innovation Conference in Bahrain, deserving in four of which the first place (Best Website Award, Best Technology Initiative Award, Best Social Media Campaign Award and Best Media Application Award) and ranked second at Electronic Initiative Award.
In 2016, the "Safari Charity" Program produced by Qatar Charity and broadcast at Qatar TV won two gold awards of Al Haytham Arab Media Award of the United Arab Media Council (UAMC) in the Kingdom of Jordan.
Qatar Charity has also received the Sanabel Award for Community Responsibility in Orphan Care Institutions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the category of Community Initiatives in the Field of Orphan Care at the GCC level in 2015 and the "Best Smart Applications" Award for the category of Community bodies in Qatar from the Academy of Excellence in the Arab Region, the administrative and regulatory arm of the Smart Government Shield Competition in Kuwait in 2015.
Qatar Charity has received the Excellence Reward for Caring Orphans in the GCC Countries (KAFEL) awarded by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the year 2014; the Sicily International Prize in Italy in 2013 for its efforts to support the coexistence between Muslim communities and communities in Italy along with the Award of Pioneering Projects in the field of social work from the Council of Ministers of Social Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council in Saudi Arabia in 2012.
The leading charity also won the third prize for Sheikh Fahad Al Ahmad Al Sabah International Award for Charitable Work in Kuwait in 2011 and was honored by the Ruler of the Emirate of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in recognition of its role in the field of social work in 2010. In 2009, Qatar Charity received the Best Card Product Award for 2009 for designing a Bank Card designed for families receiving monthly assistance instead of coupons and cash assistance beside a certificate of appreciation from the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid Development Conference Exhibition (DIHAD) from the United Arab Emirates.
