Oman- Sultanate marks World Blood Donor Day today


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health, on Wednesday will join countries across the world in celebrating the World Blood Donor Day (WBDD), which falls on June 14 every year.

This year's celebration comes under the slogan 'Give blood. Give now. Give often', and focuses on the fact that it is important to donate blood regularly, so that the stock is sufficient before an emergency arises, stated a press release.

The ceremony will be held under the auspices of H E Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al Hasani, Minister of Information, at the Cultural Club.

The event will include a number of lectures and other activities on the significance of donating blood and maintaining a good stock.
