Oman Air facilitates Qatari citizens to fly to Jeddah for Umrah

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman Air is facilitating pilgrims from Qatar to fly to Saudi Arabia for Umrah. Saudi Arabia has not banned Qataris from visiting the country for Umrah and Hajj.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Oman Air stated, 'As per instructions of the concerned authorities, citizens of Qatar are now allowed to travel on Oman Air from Doha to Jeddah for Umrah.'

The airline instructed Qataris to get in touch with its sales office in Doha or the call centre in Muscat. Some 1,633 Qatari pilgrims have performed Umrah since June 4, the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia announced on Monday.

It said that the directives of the Kingdom's leadership emphasise providing services and facilities to Umrah pilgrims from all countries including brothers from Qatar. Saudi Press Agency had earlier reported, 'The Kingdom confirms its commitment and keenness to provide all facilities and services to Qatari Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.'
