Syrian refugees leave Lebanon for safe zones

(MENAFN) Syrian refugee families returned to Aasal al-Ward in southern Syrian after leaving the Lebanese border town of Arsal as part of a deal brokered by Hezbollah.

Accordingly, 30 civilian cars carrying almost 50 families departed from the northern Lebanese town and a military escort accompanied them.

Additionally, the move was undertaken in response to a keen interest of the families in order to return to their homeland.

Furthermore, 50 families chose to leave Lebanon for Syria, while a whole of 500 families are projected to relocate following talks earlier this year to set up small safe zones.
