The latest achievement of the leading African bank is the Top Performers CSR (Corporate social responsibility) 2017 title, awarded by Vigeo Eiris, the European leader of the extra-financial ratings.
The CSR 2017 Performers ranking recognizes companies listed on the Casablanca stock exchange which are known for their advanced social responsibility initiatives and which have obtained the best scores according to Vigeo Eiris repository for their ability to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in their management systems.
Vigeo Eiris' scoring repository has over twenty criteria and some 300 indicators covering six areas of social responsibility, some of them covering respect of human rights, human capital development, protection of the environment, business ethics, efficiency and independence of governance and commitment to the development of their host territories.
The Top Performers CSR 2017 title demonstrates the continuing commitment of the Attijariwafa Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in particular the following criteria "responsible information to customers" and "Non-discrimination," for which Attijariwafa Bank has achieved the highest scores of the market.
The rating agency also recognizes Attijariwafa Bank's compelling commitment and advocacy for access to information, prevention of misleading or deceptive information, as well as in the promotion of gender equality, women's accessibility to management positions and the prevention of discrimination, concludes the bank.
