Iraq on track for highest monthly oil exports

(MENAFN) Iraq is ready for the highest monthly crude exports even as the Mideast nation helps moves to increase Opec-led production cuts aimed at trimming bloated global inventories.

Moreover, recent shipments, a partial proxy for output, would surpass sales in Oct which was the base line month for the production accord.

Additionally, led by the globe's biggest producers Saudi Arabia and Russia, the 24 nations party to the accord aim to extend the deal when they meet in Vienna next week.

The country pumped 4.41mn barrels of crude a day in April, while it produced more in each months so far this year than the 4.351mn barrels a day limit agreed to under the OPEC deal in Nov.
