He said, "We are proud of our relationship with the Kingdom, and we count very much on it under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and that this day is historic in the relationship the two countries," stressing the work of the two countries to coordinate efforts to combat the Iranian extremism and ways of the functioning of the Iranian nuclear program.
In response to the Iranian elections and the impact on the situation in the region, The US Secretary of State said, "We are open to dialogue with anyone, and we are ready to cooperate with them and talk to them in a timely manner," stressing the need to put pressure on the Yemeni parties to find an appropriate solution given the tragic situation witnessed by the Yemeni people.
The US Secretary of State said, "I hope that Rohani in his new mandate to start to dismantle terrorist networks and stop the supply of finance and anything provided by Iran to these terrorist groups which exist in the region and end intercontinental ballistic missile program, and we want to strengthen the right of the Iranian people to freedom of expression so that they live the life they deserve and this is what we hope to come by the recent elections in Iran," calling on Rohani to change Iranian relations with the rest of the world.
In turn, Foreign Minister Dr. Adel Al-Jubeir said that "the judgment on Iran is by its actions and not what it says, they are the ones planting terrorist cells in the kingdom, and provide militias like Hezbollah and al-Huthi with weapons and means of destruction, and interfere in the affairs of Arab countries such as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen and support terrorism, and provided support to Al-Qaeda, and many al-Qaeda leaders have been living in Iran for 15 years now. They have links with the Taliban, which seek to destabilize Afghanistan, and carried out many terrorist operations in the Kingdom and Bahrain in 1996 as major general Alshareef, who is the one who was planning and leading these acts, escaped to Iran and since then we have not heard about him," asserting that this behavior is not good and reflects lack of respect for the relations Iran is seeking, calling for behavior in accordance with international law, welcoming Iran to a new world living in peace, without interfering in the affairs of other countries.
