Qatar Rail had announced earlier the diversion of part of Al Wakra Road between Al Wakra Roundabout and the Pearl Roundabout will start from April 23, 2017 and will last till June 18, 2018. New date for the same is expected to be announced later.

More road openings

In May, road connecting the bridge from Najma Street behind Barwa Village will open to connect RasBuFentas Street coming from Abdulla Abdulghani roundabout.

In June, Al Wakra Bypass will be opened to traffic which will connect traffic coming from Mesaieed Road with G-Ring and F-Ring Roads, Asghal said on their social media channels.

In July, Al Wukair bypass will be opened to traffic, which will provide a direct connection between Mesaieed Road and G-Ring Road.

'Road openings in next 3 months will reduce congestion on Al Wakra St & maximize G-Ring & F-Ring's benefits in distributing traffic to all areas, they tweeted.

The confusion in front of the Barwa village remains as of now as the left turn to enter Barwa village while coming from Al Wakra remains closed and motorists will have to take a long detour and come from behind the complex.
