On Tuesday, May 2, at 10:00 a.m., Karim Mousa, Regional Business Development Manager in the Middle East, Siemens Power and Gas Division, will be presenting the rising challenges in the global energy market, as well as discussing sustainable and innovative solutions for Oman's conventional energy sector.

Siemens has been operating in Oman since 1972. Today, the company's technology is responsible for generating over 50 per cent of Oman's electricity capacity, in addition to its role in enabling the Sultanate to significantly conserve its natural resources by reducing gas consumption in the power generation industry. Siemens has also supplied a significant proportion of the country's power transmission and distribution equipment to support the growing demand for energy in Oman.

The Oman Energy and Water Exhibition and Conference is a platform for stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities in the energy and water sector in Oman.
