Unified Window app for municipal services launched in UAE

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The app had initially been launched through Google Play Store and will soon be activated on iPhone devices. The Abu Dhabi Municipality has launched a smartphone application called 'Unified Window' through which customers can access 12 municipal services.

The services on 'Unified Window' include issuing a site plan, property certificate, title deed, search certificate, fines payment, broker permit, broker permit renewal, real estate public auctioneer permit, natural person, real estate public auctioneer permit renewal, and subsidised stuff services.

The announcement was made by the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT), represented by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), during its participation in Cityscape.

Musabbah Mubarak Al Murar, acting General Manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality, said: "The Unified Window App reflects the continuous efforts of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport to activate smart services at the emirate's level and enhance the quality of services on offer to customers and community members."

"The Unified Window services are available in all municipalities of the emirate: Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain Municipality and Al Dhafra Municipality. The Abu Dhabi City Municipality has designed this application in coordination with the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport to provide these services to all customers in these areas," added Al Murar. The app had initially been launched through Google Play Store and will soon be activated on iPhone devices.

"Citizens are the top beneficiaries of this service, as well as real estate developers, and all those engaged in the real estate market in the emirate. These services streamline procedures, thus obviating customers the need to attend to the municipalities' premises in person, and enabling them to pay the prescribed fees for these services online," explained Al Murar.

"The application provides all citizens with premium services, particularly the subsidised foodstuff procedures where citizens can contain their allotments from subsidised goods stores without the need to visit the municipalities' premises.

"The new application will support the real estate market in Abu Dhabi thanks to its streamlined and simple procedures," noted Al Murar. He called for utilising this application in obtaining interactive e-services in a rapid and easy manner," added the Acting General Manager of Abu Dhabi City Municipality.

Al Murar concluded saying that the application was fully linked to Abu Dhabi Government's Single Sign-On Portal, which makes it easier for customers to use the application without the need for a new registration.
