(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Rabat – The city of Fes will host the 2nd Annual Festival for the Arts of Musical Heritage, from May 4-6, at Jnan Sbil Garden.
The festival has chosen 'Our musical heritage… Rhythms of love and peace' as the slogan for this year's event. The second edition is a celebration of the various genres of Moroccan musical art.
The cultural event will be marked by the presence of sufisms and musical heritage experts, whose work ensures the continuity of these traditional artistic genres.
The festival will feature several artistic concerts, which will be performed by renowned folkloric troupes, including Malhoun, Gnaoua, Issaoua, Hmadcha, Dakka Marrakchia and Taktoka Jabalia artists.
The festival's program will also include a competition devoted to Al Malhoun musical poetry music, chaired by notable university researchers.
As well, the event will feature a tribute to prominent figures, who have contributed to the promotion of these artistic heritage.
The symposium is considered a major heritage event for the preservation of Morocco's traditional arts.
