China's car-sharing grows rapidly

(MENAFN) An Internet Age twist on car rentals, car-sharing is increasing rapidly from virtually nothing two years ago as Chinese millennial aims more mobile lifestyles without the cost of buying cars.

After years of skyrocketing sales, the global auto industry is predicting a sales slowdown as it convenes this week for the Shanghai Auto Show.

Moreover, car-sharing schemes are relatively new in the country, but are increasing components of an ongoing Chinese personal-mobility revolution.

Additionally, German giant Daimler launched car-sharing services in the southwestern city of Chongqing last year and has increased to six other nations, with more than 250.000 recorded users.
