British adventurer to arrive as part of round the world helicopter tour

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- British helicopter pilot Peter Wilson will be landing in Muscat this week as part of his round the world helicopter flight. Last year, Wilson travelled soloby helicopter through 23 different countries to complete a journey around Africa of about 16,600nm in 73 days, stated a press release.

This is part of an epic project, Three Journeys Round. The purpose of the journeys is to raise the profile of 'a better planet through sustainable development', and raise funds for Save the Children and Motivation.

While in Oman, Wilson will be visiting Outward Bound Oman (OBO), and opening its first national centre for outdoor learning in the Sharqiyah Sands. The centre's building is powered by renewable, sustainable solar energy, and it treats waste water on-site.

Wilson set off on his second journey on April 8, travelling east through Europe to Egypt, across Saudi Arabia and UAE to Oman, from where he will continue around the world through a total of 41 countries. His daily progress, and details of the project can be tracked on http://www.threejourneysround.com.
