Oman- Teejan Group unveils first smart office project Taj


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Teejan Investment and Development unveiled a unique and first of its kind project, Taj Office Building, in a ceremony at Grand Hyatt Muscaton Monday.

Sheikh Hamad al Harrasi, chairman of Teejan Group of Companies highlighted the value of Taj Office Building project, 'Thanks to its exceptional specifications and features, high investment value and unique concept, Taj is expected to be a cornerstone for real estate development in Oman. Taj is the best start for the newly-born Teejan Investment and Development that will continue and affirm the long record of achievements. Teejan Group doesn't spare any effort to add great value for the march of development led by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said for the welfare and prosperity of the people and nation.'

Fawzi al Harrasi, CEO of Teejan Investment and Development said, 'Our new project, Taj will be the beginning of a new stage in the real estate sector in Oman. The buildings in the near future will be all about technology. The smart buildings will be a basic demand and not just an extra option for some people.'

Highlighting the specifications of Taj, Harrasi said that one of the basic aspects of the project is its strategic location.

'It is a seven-minute drive from the Muscat International Airport, a five-minute drive from the [Ghala] industrial area and a ten-minute drive from the Royal Opera House Muscat and the embassies district. Stretching over 3,942sq m, the 12-storeyed Taj will have a three-storey underground parking for 270 vehicles, a reception office, restaurants, cafés, a mini market, a bank and other facilities to meet all needs of the employees, customers and visitors.'

With the use of latest technologies, Taj, according to Harrasi, will be the first office building in Oman to be equipped with a robot to work as a guide for the visitors. 'The building will be equipped with smart lighting and air conditioning systems. All office owners will be able to control the electronic systems at their offices through a smartphone app.'

Construction work on the Taj Office Building will start within weeks. The project is expected to be delivered early in 2020.
