UAE- Sultan Al Qasimi visits National Library of France

PARIS, 25th March 2017 (WAM) - H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, accompanied by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Founder and CEO of the Kalimat Group, visited on Friday the National Library of France in Paris.

Sheikh Sultan toured the different sections of the library and was briefed by the officials on its contents of rare books, maps, images, manuscripts, coins and medals.

Sheikh Sultan was accompanied during his tour by Mu'dhid Hareb Al Khaili, UAE Ambassador to France, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture, and other officials.

The National Library of France is the national repository of all that is published in France. It collects, preserves and makes known the national documentary heritage.

It has a collection of14 million books and printed documents, manuscripts, prints, photographs, maps and plans, scores, coins, medals, sound documents, video and multimedia documents, scenery elements.
