Students from 7 Universities in the UAE & 200 Poster Presentations in Emirates Forensic 2017

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 25th of March, 2017: The organizing committee of Emirates International Forensic Science Conference and Exhibition, announces the agenda of its 1st edition that will be held under the theme 'Digital Forensic Science. Emirates Forensic Conference & Exhibition will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Dubai Future Foundation from 2-4 April 2017, at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The conference serves as the ideal platform in the MENA region for exchange of experiences, for meeting experts, and for enriching knowledge and learning about the latest scientific research and international developments in the forensic medicine field. On the other hand, the parallel exhibition will help participants to stay updated about the latest forensic analysis products, digital investigative services and equipment, and laboratory equipment, which will be showcased by more than 80 local and international companies.

Major General. Dr. Ahmad Eid Almansoori, General Director of Forensic Science and Criminology Dept., Dubai Police Hq reconfirmed the keenness of Dubai Police to keep abreast with developments and latest research in the field of criminal evidence and criminology, and to and to provide its cadres and specialized departments with all the technologies, equipment, and techniques that will support their daily tasks and help them fulfill their duties of protecting lives and maintaining safety and security. Dubai Police is also keen to provide educational opportunities for university students to take advantage of accredited CME points through the Emirates International Forensic Conference & Exhibition, and to provide experts in different fields with latest scientific research.

He continued on saying: 'The importance of such conferences comes from attracting prominent experts, professionals in this specialized field, students, and academics to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of forensic evidence and criminology and to learn about the latest developments related to criminal science on an international level. The conference will also attract educational institutions giving participants the opportunity to acquire more knowledge to develop their skills and to better contribute to this important scientific field.

From his side, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Emirates International Forensic Conference & Exhibition and Chairman of INDEX Holding said: 'Emirates International Forensic Conference & Exhibition is the only dedicated event for forensic science and criminology in the region, and it highlights the importance of education and supports the scientific research in this field.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani added: 'The conference will provide all students a great opportunity to learn about the latest research and techniques and to meet and gain experience from prominent speakers, experts and academics from the region and the world. Students will also have the chance to present their research papers, presentations and scientific posters.

Emirates Forensic in its first edition will witness a noticeable participation from students from 7 different universities in the UAE, who will attend the conference and get the chance of gaining 15.25 credit hours from the Ministry of Health & Prevention in the UAE. In addition to that, students will have the chance to participate in the Young Scientist Award Competition, which works on creating a spirit of competition amongst them to urge them to learn more and excel in this field.

Emirates Forensic scientific program will feature 8 workshops, more than 20 scientific sessions, 100 oral presentations, and over 200 poster presentations. The event is expected to attract more than 2000 participants from 30 countries.

The 1st edition of Emirates International Forensic Conference & Exhibition is privileged with the support of a number of international associations such as: The International Association of Forensic Toxicologists TIAFT, American Association of Forensic Science AAFS, International Association of Forensic Science IAFS, European Network Forensic Science Institutes ENFSI, American Society of Questioned Documents Examiners ASQDE, American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors ASCLD, Worldwide Association of Women Forensic Experts, and the International Association Of Orthodontic And Forensic Odontology.
