On March 23, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Algeria Ramtane Lamamra sent each other congratulatory messages on the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries celebrated this day.
In their messages, the two foreign ministers praised the state of relations between Russia and Algeria in various areas. They also expressed mutual interest in further developing and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and Algeria according to the letter and spirit of the bilateral Strategic Partnership Declaration signed in Moscow in April 2001.
