UAE participates in Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria

VIENNA, 20th March, 2017 (WAM) -- The UAE is competing in the 11th Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria, which kicked off on Sunday in Schladming-Rohrmoos, after a spectacular opening ceremony on 18th March.

The World Winter Games will see the participation of 2,700 athletes from 107 nations, including 16 Arab countries. The UAE team consists of 37 athletes.

Abu Dhabi will be hosting the Special Olympics World Summer Games in 2019, highlighting the UAE's vision to create inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities throughout the state, the region and the world.
